My
Summer with Intel
I accepted the job at Intel, only after they offered jet shuttle service. Actually, I am having a GREAT time!
My summer with Intel was absolutely fabulous. At the
last minute, out of the blue, a phone message was left on my machine
from IISME, asking me if I was still interested in working this summer.
Of course, I replied in the affirmative.
I did not hear anything for nearly a week, and just
dismissed it from my mind. After all, I had filled my summer with
writing camps, a web page camp, and possibly two or three other things.
And my daughter did want an escort to the wacky LA area to begin college.
I turned the job down because Santa Clara was over three
hours away.
Leaving each day for work on a jet plane is
very different. I have learned a lot about California geography this
year.
From the plane I can even spot the Home Depot near my house.
What could be more important than that?
And what about convenience? I fly in one half
an hour the distance it used to take me three hours on the not so
free freeway. My grandson, CJ, might come see me land one evening.
