An estimate of 94,000 men and 66,000 women die from lung cancer , making it the leading cause of cancer death in both sexes.  More than 50% of people newly diagnosed for lung cancer have cancer  elsewhere. Cigarette smoking  is the greatest cause of lung cancer. Up to 90%of smokers are lung cancer patients.The great solution to lung cancer is if patients would stop smoking.  Almost half survive one year after diagnosed.
