Chamberlain was served as a prime minister of Britain from 1937 to 1940.  Chamberlain tried to make a peace treaty with Hitler, but Hitler did not keep his promise even when he signed the contract.  When Chamberlain got the treaty, he held it up and said, "Peace in our time!"  He thought he could stop Hitler, but he couldn't.
