One of the enemies that attacked the U. S. is Japan.  They thought that the United States was just another island.  They were on the Germans side.  In World War 2, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in San Fransisco.  That is what got the U.S. into World War 2.

     Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were the leaders of the German army. They were also responsible for Japan bombing Pearl Harbor.
