Poor Harry grows up as an adopted son with his terrible aunt, uncle, and beastly cousin. He is 11 before he discovers that he is a wizard. In spite of his family, he manages to board a train to Hogwarts (a school for witches and wizards). There he meets new friends and enemies.
But something strange is hidden in this magical school. Harry and his friends are trying to find out about it. They finally do, but the answer leads them to great danger, even the threat of death!
