For 2008 Willy Taveras has the most stolen bases which are 68 stolen bases. If a player overthrows a ball the hitter can safely run into a base and keep running.

Softball

Third, in softball the pitcher lobs the baseballs instead of throwing the ball. I wonder if there are any differences between softball and baseball except that the pitcher lobs the ball. The year of the first game of softball was 1887. Softball originated from the United States. Equipment required in softball includes a ball, a bat, gloves, uniforms and protective gear, including helmets for the offensive team and a helmet, shin guards, and chest protector for the defensive catcher.
