Did you know that jousting is a sport?
I thought it was fighting. To joust, you need a sword, axe, horse, and
most importantly, a lance. A player uses the lance and points it at the
opponent. He charges at the opponent. If the lance shatters, the player
pulls out a different weapon.
There are also two kinds of horses
for jousting. I thought there was only one kind. Warmblood horses are
called Chargers. Chargers are quick and full of energy but weak. Coldblood
horses are called Destriers. Destriers are slow but strong. The horses
have grooms that groom them in their own tents right before a match.
The lance is very important. In
a normal joust, the lance is made of simple wood. Lances are meant to
shatter. Lance are oak if it is an official match.
