Hi my name is Zachary and I am going to tell you about pickleball. Pickleball is a sport similar to tennis that was named after a dog named Pickles who would always chase after the ball.

Pickleball is played with a wiffle ball and a racket that is bigger than a ping pong racket but smaller than a tennis racket. A Pickleball court is the same size as a badminton court. It is played on a court that is twenty feet wide by 44 feet long. The net is 36' high on the edges and 34' in the middle.

What I like about pickleball is it is easy to learn and is a little like tennis. Pickleball is played by serving the ball to your opponent then hitting it back and forth until one person hits the ball onto the other person's side and before the player on that side hits it goes out of bounds.

People of all ages can play pickle ball. When I lived in Palm Springs every January we would go to a festival in the Anza Borago Desert and play pickleball. Pickleball is a fun sport.
