Actually a baby deer is called a fawn. When fawns are born they know how to walk and run in less then 5 minutes. A mother dear will protect its baby forever. After 3 years with there mother the fawn will leave there mother for a new heard.
Fawns are brown with lovely white spots on there smooth backs. Fawns will
lose there spots when they are about 4 or 5 months. As soon as a baby
fawn is born he and his mom have a very strong bond. Baby dears are very
harmless animals and that is why the mother dear will always protect her
fawn from a predator.
The life of a fawn is very hard they
have to learn how to do many things.
There are many animals who would love to have a fawn sandwich like
hyenas, lions, cheetahs, pumas, and komodo dragons. Fawns have many predators
But they live in a place where nature can save them. The only reason dears
live in such a bushy place is because the only thing they can do if being
attack is run!
