Hi, I'm Katie, and I'm here to tell you about the cute mammal called the chipmunk. Chipmunks are small omnivores that can be 12 inches at the most. They can weigh 1 to 5 ounces. Chipmunks can 2 to 3 years old. There are 25 types of chipmunks, and they are all different in their own ways.

Chipmunks have a large diet of grains, nuts, bird's eggs, small frogs, fungi, worms, and insects. At the beginning of the fall, some types of chipmunks start collecting food to store for the winter. I found out that chipmunks are meat eaters and plant eaters.
