Hi my name is Kiajanee and I
am going to tell you about dolphin and how they communicate. Echolocation
is a way for a dolphin to see with there ears by listening for sounds. It
is mostly for dolphins to find food and find enemies. It also them to see
through solid objects like an X-Ray. It is so cool that dolphins can see
X-Ray vision.
Dolphins produce a series of clicks that last 50 to 128
microseconds. The clicks pass through a part of the dolphin's forehead
called a melon. The melon is used to focuses on the sound into a beam.
The sound bounce around on objects and goes back to the dolphin as an
echo.
That's some stuff I know about dolphins. Dolphins are
very cool.
