 My name is Katie, and I am here to tell you about Knut the polar bear. Knut was born in the Berlin Zoo with a brother, but he died. The bear keeper, Thomas, waited five hours before he took the cubs. He took the cubs because their mother showed very little interest in them.

Knut was very fun to play with. Knut learned how to climb by trying to climb out of his bed. When he climbed out of his bed, he went on Thomas's head. Thomas was not happy. Knut was very playful. Knut came into the part of the zoo where people can see him and people loved him.
