Hi, my name is Alex and I'm going
to tell you about the three judges. Rhadamanthus, Minos, and Aeacus are
sons of Zeus and Europa. Rhadamanthus, Minos, and Aeacus are the three
judges.
Zeus made himself into a bull and abducted Europa (his own wife) across
the sea to Crete. Rhadamanthus and Minos with there brother Sarpedon got
adopted by Europa's husband Asterius, the king of Crete to whom she had
a daughter named Crete. Asterius did not have any sons so he adopted them.
When Asterius died his kingdom was divided into thirds for them.
Rhadamanthus was considered smart and Minos is considered to be vengeful.
He was unfortunate whose wife fell in love with a bull sent by Poseidon;
the resulting child was the Minotaur which Minos kept in the labyrinth.
Aegina was a rival of his step brother Minos. When the three died because
of there great wisdom and worth lives they were assigned to judge the
dead as they entered the underworld. Rhadamanthus was assigned the task
of judging Asiatic. Minos judged the most difficult task. I'm glad I don't
have to go to the under world!
