Hello! My name is Derek, and I am going to tell you about your skin. Did you know that when it is cold, our inside temperature will drop highly, or if it is hot, you would get hot. Did you know that when you are cold, you have Goosebumps, but sometimes when it is hot you can also have that too?! Just like some arctic animals, we have blubber or skin that protects us from bad weather. Without that we would either be burned or froze to death. Welcome to our website! I hope you enjoy this quick article full of facts.

Sweat & Glands

I learned these interesting facts from a single website called kidshealth.org. Did you know your glands will produce sweat every second because of these glands? We all know sweat is disgusting, but it is good for you because it relieves your body heat. When your sweat falls into the air, it evaporates into thin air. For example my friends Keilen and Josh sweat in basketball games all day because they probably have tournaments on weekends. I wonder if animals or plants and trees can do this special thing!

What Happens when it's Cold

Wow! I am learning a lot of things so far with kidshealth.org. When it is cold like if its 51degrees Fahrenheit, we form Goosebumps on our arms and other places. My mom says that your stomach, feet, and head are the most important things that should be covered besides your inappropriate parts. Imagine if I am in Alaska and I have shorts on! Goosebumps form, we also call Goosebumps pilomotor reflex. Also in my common knowledge, don't cut your hair in rainy days because when your hair is cut, the water drips down to some bald spots in your head and you feel breezy. You can get a cold.

I hope you enjoyed my report and remember to help your skin clean and put ointment on scabs, or you will have an infection. Think about it. Skin protects us from any weather. Visit are teachers website, http://www.mrdfourth90.com/ for more cool facts.
