Hi, I am Nicole and
I am going to tell you about the King's Chamber which is in the great
pyramid of Giza. Did you know that they never found the lid to the Sarcophagus?
That is a little scary to me.
Did you know that the King's Chamber
was originally 10 x 20 x 11.4 cubits? A cubit is about 18 to 22 inches.
All together there are 2,204 cubits. That is pretty big. The floor was
about 200 cubit squares. That is not very big because the room is diagonal.
According to my internet research,
I found out that the King's Sarcophagus was made out of Red Aswan granite.
It was made out of only one single piece. I think this is weird because
the Sarcophagus was too large to fit through the hall of the pyramid.
Nobody knows if a body was ever in it and where the lid to the Sarcophagus
was. I would like to give credit to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pyramid_of_Giza
for my reaserch.
Thanks for reading my article!
