Hello! My name is Kaitlyn and I'm here to tell you about the Empire State Building. It was constructed in March 17, 1930. It was built out of a steel frame and had an average rate of four and a half floors per- week. The architect William Lamb, was chosen to design the Empire State Building. It was built at the time of the Great Depression. By October 3, 1930, 88 floors were finished and 14 left to go. The tower was about 200ft. tall with a dome. Over the years more than thirty people have committed suicide from the top of the building which is very sad.

There are about 90 movies done on the Empire State Building like King Kong, New York, New York, Sleepless in Seattle, and other movies too.

In 1945 a terrible plane crashed into the Empire State building. It was a foggy day. A plane was flying into the sky until it suddenly one engine shot though the 79th and 80th floors. The other engine and part of the landing gear landed into an elevator starting a fire. It was rebuilt back in the same exact spot.
